Kinderdijk is a village in Netherlands, which belongs to the municipal corporation of Nieuw-Lekkerland, in the province South Holland, about 15 km east of Rotterdam. Kinderdijk is located in a polder at the union of the Lek and Noord rivers. In this region, 19 windmills were built in the year 1740 to deplete the polder.
