This windmill was built in the year 1814 with the help of ironstone and topped with brick and was a working windmill till the year 1960. Wymondham windmill is a five-storey building, which has a cap on the top and fantail with 6 patent blades and is also recognized as a Six Arm Lincolnshire Cross. It is one of only four six-sailed windmills left over in the country.
This windmill gives brilliant views of town and nearby locations, which has tearooms, woodland of native British trees and craft shops.The tearoom offers hot drinks, cold drinks, household cakes, cream teas, snacks, sandwiches and hot meals.
This windmill also has a playground, playhouse, large green area, a small vehicle track for younger kids and a woodland puzzle trail through 2 acre woodland of native British trees.
