Te Apiti wind farm is situated on 11.5 km² of land north of the Manawatu Gorge in the North Island of New Zealand. Te Apiti was New Zealand’s biggest capacity wind farm until the last stage of the close by Tararua wind farm was completed. Te Apiti wind farm consist 55 turbines, each possessing the capability of generating power of 1.65 mega watts (MW). The total electricity generated by Te Apiti wind farm is 90.75 MW.
