
This is a huge wind farm situated on Wolfe Island, near Kingston, Ontario. This wind farm became functional on June 29, 2009, which is owned and operated by Canadian Hydro Developers, Inc., with Canadian RenewableEnergy Corporation (CREC).
This wind farm consists of 86, 2.3 MW Siemens Model Mark II turbines, which are capable of generating over 2,300 kilowatts electricity.
This wind farm is comprised of 86 wind turbines, which produces 2,300 kilowatts of electricity and is estimated to produce more than 593,500 megawatts-hours per annum of renewable energy. This wind farm is the second largest wind farm in Canada, second to Ontario’s Melanchthon wind farm with a capacity of 199.5 MW, which is owned and operated by same developer.
