Maple Ridge Wind Farm

The area of this wind farm includes villages of Martinsburg, Lowville, Watson and Harrisburg in Lewis County on the Tug Hill Plateau, about 75 miles northeast of Syracuse. The Maple Ridge wind farm is producing 231 Megawatts of electricity

with the help 140 wind turbines.Additional turbines are under construction process for phase 2 and after construction total number of wind turbines will be 195, which will generate 320 Megawatts of electricity and that is enough electricity for 160,000 New York households.

The Maple Ridge Wind Farm is expected to produce enough power to provide electricity to the city of New York. This project is owned by PPM energy and Horizon Wind Energy. Public officials, environmental advocates and energy industry representatives did a good work to construct this wind farm.
