E.ON Climate and Renewables (EC&R) in October 2009 completed the Roscoe Wind Complex, a project which spans four Texas counties with an area of nearly 100,000 acres and is now the world’s biggest wind farm.

It is a large wind farm with 735.5 megawatt capacity, which consists of two hundred ninety one GE 1.5 MW wind turbines and one hundred and thirty Siemens 2.3 MW wind turbines constructed over 47,000 acres in Taylor and Nolan County, Texas. The first phase of this wind

In the early 1980’s wind development began in Tehachapi Pass, which hosts multitude wind farm and it is California’s one of the largest resource areas. Tehachapi Pass is a mountain pass in United States, which is located at the northwest end of Tehachapi Mountains.

This is North America’s first truly urban wind turbine situated on the grounds of the Canadian National Exposition. For installation of this plant, Toronto Renewable Energy Co-operative did a five year struggle, which now generates 1000 kilowatts of electricity
